We had seen the odd mouse and some droppings, so I placed Ratsak in a couple of strategic positions around the house, woodshed, and garage. But they kept coming and the unsightly droppings were increasing.

I found Exopest in an easy Google search for rodent control and was delighted that the company had a detailed and informative, but clear-to-read page on the habits of rats and mice.

I called the number and the person who answered the phone was polite and helpful and the quote for $275 for our home was about the same amount that I had wasted failing to solve the problem with Ratsak from the supermarket.

We booked an appointment for the next day.

David from Exopest turned up on time, and very quickly placed about 20 baits in the roof, under the house, in the garage, and other places where Mickey and Minnie might be partying. In climbing into the roof through the manhole in the house I was most pleased that he left virtually no dust or marks and David also reported that the roof space appeared to be in pristine condition with no water marks and no problems with the insulation – apart from some rodent burrow marks. I was also very impressed with his extendable ladder. Must buy one!

He was in our house for about one hour and it was all done.

To date we have seen one little mouse corpse and there have been some loud scratching noises, but not a single mouse has been spotted with no further evidence of their presence through droppings.

Even though we don’t live in Hamlyn, I love my children a lot, so we paid the bill promptly.
